Man walks into bottle shop, pulls gun on staff

POLICE are searching for a man who walked into a bottle shop and threatened staff at gunpoint at Ipswich, west of Brisbane.

Police said the man casually strolled into the Main Street store just after 2pm on Friday and pulled a gun on a woman behind the counter, demanding money.

The female attendant complied with the demands and opened the cash register, allowing the man to snatch a stash of cash from the till.


Police said the man then stole a bottle of alcohol from a shelf before walking back out of the store.

Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the man or may have information that could assist them with their investigation to come forward.
