Man with gunshot wound dumped at Gold Coast hospital

A crime scene has been established in a Gold Coast suburb, after a man was dumped at a local hospital.

Police have confirmed, officers were initially called to a Helensvale property around 5.30pm on Saturday for a reported assault.

A short time later a man turned up at the Gold Coast University Hospital with a gunshot wound to his right shin.

Police say he isn’t cooperating with investigations and at this stage no complaint has been lodged.

However, they are carrying out investigations at a scene on Riverlink Boulevard East.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
