UPDATE: A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident that began at Mount Gravatt East on Monday afternoon.
It will be alleged a man assaulted a woman outside a Fairland Street address around 2pm with a knife causing injuries to her throat and hand. It will then be alleged the man drove off in a car with two young children.
The man and two children were located at Kopps Road, Oxenford around 4.15pm.

The woman was taken to the Princess Alexandra hospital for treatment of injuries that are not believed life threatening. Neither child was physically injured.
A 33-year-old Mount Gravatt East man has been charged with attempt to murder, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, unlawful use of motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlawful entry of vehicle for committing indictable offence used violence, assault occasioning bodily harm and two counts of endangering children by exposure. He is expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court in the morning.
