Manhunt underway after assault of elderly man in Logan

Police are urgently calling on the public to help locate a man who could help with investigations into the serious assault of an elderly man in Logan last week.

It comes after a 71-year-old man had his Regents Park home broken into before he was thrown to the ground and assaulted on March 17.

The attacker then also took the man’s car keys and his car and smashed his mobile phone.

Queensland Police are hoping to speak to the 45-year-old man (pictured below) in relation to the attack.

He’s described as Caucasian, approximately 170 centimetres tall, with muscular build with short brown hair and blue eyes.

Officers are also asking anyone who may have seen a maroon 2007 Holden Commodore sedan (also pictured below) with the Queensland registration 542LMV to be in contact.

Police have urged anyone who comes across the man or the car not to approach, but to immediately call Triple Zero (000).
