Man’s body found at popular NSW swimming spot

The body of a man who went missing at a popular swimming spot south of Sydney has been found.

NSW police were called to Wattamolla Beach around 6.15pm on Tuesday following reports a 20-year-old man had disappeared whilst swimming in the lagoon area.

A major sea and land search was launched with the help of the dog squad and police rescue.

About 1.30am this morning police divers found the body of the man in water a short distance from where he was last seen.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
