Masked thief on the run after robbing Logan bottle shop with machete

POLICE are hunting a man who robbed a liquor store at Loganlea whilst armed with a machete yesterday.

The man, who had his face covered, stormed the Sarah Street business around 12.30pm and demanded money.

The 63-year-old male store attendant emptied the contents of the till into a blue shopping bag the armed man was carrying.

The thief also stole a bottle of alcohol from behind the counter before taking off.

The armed man is described as being aged possibly in his 20’s, 177 cm tall wearing black tracksuit pants, a black jumper and had a white material wrapped around his head.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
