Mayor Tate throws support behind The Star’s zipline attraction plans

Well, this sounds like fun!

Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate has welcomed a proposed zipline from The Star Casino and Hotel to the sand at Kurrawa Beach, saying it would be a “novel attraction” for our city.

The Star Entertainment Group has revealed bold plans to build the zipline from their famous casino in Broadbeach, giving tourists the chance to soar high above the city.

Mayor Tate says he would be one of the first to line up for the attraction and zip down to the beach.

“We are a city built on innovation and renowned the world over for doing things a little differently,” he said.

“Of course, this would need all the relevant approvals but I would be the first to line up and zip down from the Star resort, to the beach.

“What a way to go,” he said.

The zipline is still in the very early stages of planning, with details on how the attraction would work and it’s route still yet to be confirmed.
