McDonald’s renovated into unrecognisable cafe

A McDonald’s store in Australia has been renovated and it looks nothing like the traditional McDonalds we know.

The store has been completely modernised and stripped of all of its affiliation with the well-known Golden Arches.

The trendy lunch spot in Sydney’s Camperdown has been renamed “The Corner” with a small ‘McCafe’ displayed in small print underneath.

The cafe has a menu board that changes daily, but is built around a base of salads and brown rice customised with ingredients like Morroccan roast chicken breast and a range of sauces including chutneys and chimichurri.

The re-branded McCafe comes after McDonald’s announced a new gourmet menu in October, which it hopes will take the fast food chain upmarket.

Are you going to miss the traditional Golden Arches?
