The 17-year-old American actress and singer appears to be settling into life down under quite well, sharing a number of snaps of her enjoying our Aussie landmarks and experiences including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Great Barrier Reef and Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
“The fam and I are loving @australia so much,” Moner wrote in the caption of one of her Instagram photos.
Production on the Paramount Pictures blockbuster began this week, with much of the film to be shot at Village Roadshow Studios at Oxenford.
“I’m honored and excited to bring Dora to life. I grew up watching the show, and for me, especially as a Latina, Dora was an amazing role model… she is a strong, adventurous and fun-loving girl,” Moner said in a statement earlier this year.
“I can’t wait to put on the backpack and begin her next adventure!”
