Meth, cash, stolen goods found in Gold Coast home

A MAN and three women have been arrested and charged after police allegedly uncovered a large amount of crystal meth and stole property in a house on the Gold Coast.

The city’s Rapid Action Patrol squad raided the Government Road home at Labrador yesterday morning.

During a search of the home, officers allegedly found approximately 23 grams of methamphetamine (ice), $2500 in cash and drug utensils and scales.

Officers also found ID and property that had been stolen from a property in Jacobs Well on Saturday.

A 35-year-old man from Miami and three women, aged 23, 31, and 38, were arrested at the home and have each since been charged with a range of offences.

The man will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on November 20, charged with possessing dangerous drugs and drug utensils, and unlawfully possessing stolen property.

He’s also been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving, possessing property suspected of being stolen, and possessing suspected proceeds of an offence.

A 31-year-old Labrador woman will front the same court eight days later, charged with possessing drug utensils, while the two other women from Runaway Bay and Varsity Lakes will appear in December.

They’re both charged with possessing dangerous drugs and possessing drug utensils.
