THICK smoke is wafting through Upper Coomera tonight after a grass fire broke out after midnight.
The blaze was first reported burning along River Meadows Drive just a few minutes before 1am.
It’s now 1.30am and crews are still on scene.

Residents in the area are reporting a strong smell of smoke.
