Missing Gold Coast man found ‘safe and well’

UPDATE at 1:05 PM | A 69-YEAR-OLD man reported missing from Hope Island has been found.

Police issued a missing persons alert for the man around 12.46pm on Sunday after he disappeared on Friday.

Within minutes of going public with the alert, police released a statement confirming the man had been found safe and well.

FIRST at 12:47 PM | POLICE are appealing for assistance from the public to help find a 69-year-old man reported missing from Hope Island.

The man was last seen shortly before midnight on Friday and has not been seen or heart from since.

Police say they hold concerns for the man’s safety as his behaviour is out of character.

Anyone who has seen the man is urged to come forward and call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or their local police station.
