Missing woman’s death ‘not suspicious’

POLICE say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a woman whose body was found on the NSW North Coast, two days after she went missing.

The 65-year-old was last seen getting out of a car on Fernleigh Road at Fernleigh on Monday morning.

She was reported missing by her family and an extensive search operation followed, involving both officers from the Richmond Police District and State Emergency Service (SES) personnel.


In a statement released on Wednesday morning, NSW Police confirmed the woman was deceased.

Officers located the woman’s body at Tintenbar, south of Fernleigh, on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
