Morrison widens lead as preferred PM in latest Newspoll

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has doubled his lead as preferred PM in the latest news poll.

The poll, published by The Australian on Sunday night, shows the Liberal leader jumped four points to 46 per cent.

In comparison, Opposition Leader Bill Shorten fell two points down to 34 per cent.

It wasn’t all good news for Scott Morrison however, with the Coalition Government’s primary vote dropping for a third poll in a row to 34%.

Labor is also still leading the Coalition Government 55-45 in two-party preferred terms.
