Mother accused of high range drink driving with 3 kids onboard

Family Services have been called in after a woman was busted allegedly drunk behind the wheel while three children were in the car.

Police say a Toyota Camry swerved in front of their car on the Hume Highway in Casula in Sydney’s south-west, around 11.20pm on Saturday

The driving officer had to brake harshly to avoid a collision.

They then stopped the Toyota for a random breath test and spoke with the driver, a 39-year-old woman.

She allegedly blew a positive breath test and was arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station where another breath analysis was carried out, returning a reading of 0.182.

She was charged with high-range drink driving and had her licence suspended to face court on 11 October 2017.

Police say there was a male passenger in the car, along with three children aged 8, 9 and 9.

They notified Family and Community Services (FACS) about the incident.

I keep my ‘presenting voice’ active during the week when reading children’s books and attempting to do various accents (to little success).”
