Mother grabs baby and four other children to escape burning home

A mother has managed to save her five young children from their burning home in Sydney’s west.

The St Clair property went up in flames around 6pm on Friday, while all six were inside.

The 37-year-old woman, along with her five children, aged four months old, one, two, four and five years, escaped the Farmer Place home uninjured.

Fire fighters rushed to the scene and extinguished the blaze, but, the home sustained significant damage.

It’s believed the fire started in the front bedroom and is not being treated as suspicious.
