A MOTORCYCLIST has been threatened at gunpoint and had his bike stolen after pulling over to check his phone for directions in Logan.

It’s alleged the pair demanded the rider’s grey Nike backpack and mobile phone before forcing him off his black 2010 Kawasaki Ninja and riding off along Geaney Boulevarde.

The men, described as being Caucasian and approximately 30 years of age, remain on the run.

They were both wearing “dark tracksuit style clothing” and had their faces covered, police said.

The victim’s motorcycle (similar to the one pictured) was bearing Qld Rego 518RB.

Fortunately, police said the motorcyclist escaped the ordeal unhurt.

Investigators are urging anyone who may have CCTV footage or may have witnessed the men riding the motorcycle to come forward and call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
