Motorcyclist dies after being thrown from bike in horror Brisbane crash

A young motorcyclist has died after being thrown from his bike in a horror head-on crash with a car at Murarrie yesterday.

The accident, involving a black motorcycle and red Mazda 2, happened on Creek Road just after 5.40pm.

Police said the rider, a 24-year-old man from Wynnum, was thrown from his bike.

He was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with critical injuries and sadly passed away early this morning.

The driver of the car, a 54-year-old man from Cannon Hill escaped injury.

Investigators from the Forensic Crash Unit are appealing to any members of the public who witnessed the crash or who may have relevant dash-cam footage to contact police.
