Motorcyclist killed in crash after failing to negotiate bend

A MOTORCYCLIST has been killed in a single vehicle crash near Toowoomba, west of Brisbane.

It happened on Yalangur Lilyvale Road at Meringandan about 3.30pm on Saturday.

It’s understood a motorcycle travelling west left the road after failing to navigate a bend.

In a statement this morning, police confirmed the rider, a 64-year-old man, died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatality.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
