Motorcyclist killed in hinterland crash

A MAN has been killed after the motorcycle he was riding skidded off a winding hinterland road on Saturday afternoon.

The crashed happened on Nerang-Murwillumbah Rd at Natural Bridge in the Numinbah Forest Reserve around 2.45pm.

Police said the 47-year-old rider was killed instantly when his bike left the road and crashed.

The forensic crash unit are investigating.

Yesterday, a 29-year-old man was killed in a freak miniature motorcycle accident just north of the Gold Coast.

It’s understood the man was thrown from the small bike after it clipped the corner of a roundabout.
