UPDATE @ 12.45 PM | A teenage girl has been rescued from the wreckage of a car which slammed into a tree on the Gold Coast.
The accident happened on Brockman Way in Pacific Pines around 11.45am on Tuesday.
Several emergency crews were called to the scene and worked to free the teenager from the vehicle.

Thankfully she managed to escape with only a few cuts and was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
A second person, a man whose age is not known, suffered a lower leg injury.
He was also taken to hospital in a stable condition.

EARLIER @ 12.15 PM | Emergency crews are currently working to free a motorist trapped in a car at Pacific Pines.
The vehicle is believed to have crashed into a tree on Brockman Way around 11.45am on Tuesday.
Paramedics are on scene assisting one of the patients who remains trapped. Their condition and injuries are not known at this stage.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC a second person was treated at the scene for a foot injury.
They’re expected to be taken to hospital in a stable condition.
