Man fighting for life, baby injured, in horror Logan crash

UPDATE @ 2.30 PM | A man is fighting for life following a horror two car crash at Logan this afternoon.

The accident happened at the intersection of Kingston Road and Muchow Road in Waterford West around 1.15pm.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and desperately worked to free a male driver trapped in one of the vehicles.

He has since been taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition with the High Acuity Response Unit on board.

Five other people, including a baby, were treated at the scene by paramedics for various injuries.

A woman and infant have been taken to the Logan Hospital in a stable condition, while a female in her 50s and teenage girl were also transported stable to Logan hospital.

A fifth patient was assessed by paramedics but did not require transport to hospital.

EARLIER @ 2.00 PM | Emergency crews are desperately working to free a driver trapped in a car at Logan following a two car crash.

The accident happened at the intersection of Kingston Road and Muchow Road in Waterford West around 1.15pm.

The trapped motorist is understood to be in a serious, but stable condition.

Five other people, including a baby, are currently being treated by paramedics for various injuries and are expected to be transported to hospital.

The High Acuity Response Unit is also on scene.
