Motorists warned of Southport road closures

If you plan on travelling through Southport this week you may want to be aware of some big road closures.

The 2018 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final is set to kick off on Wednesday, with more than 5000 athletes and spectators expected to attend this year’s event.

The triathlon will see a number of roads closed in the area until Sunday, with police warning motorists that travelling anywhere near the Southport Broadwater Parklands may result in delays due to diversions that will be in place.
