A number of people have been killed in a suspected terror attack at a luxury hotel in Nairobi.
The attack, which involved heavy gunfire and explosions, happened at a five star hotel complex in the Westlands area about 3.00pm local time on Tuesday.
According to Kenyan police, the scene is now under control after a major operation.

Authorities have not yet released an official death toll, however the militant group claiming responsibility for the fatal attack says 47 people have been killed.
The Somali Government has condemned the actions of those responsible.
“The Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia expresses its strong condemnation of the terrorist attack on Tuesday at the DusitD2 hotel complex in Nairobi, Kenya,” they said in a statement.”This heinous act of terror, which routinely targets innocent people, once again reveals the hideous face of terrorism.
“The Federal Republic of Somalia extends its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wishes speedy recovery of the wounded, affirming its full solidarity with the Government of the Republic of Kenya in its war against terrorism.”
