Neighbours evacuated after Labrador home bursts into flames

A crime scene has been established at an abandoned home on the Gold Coast after it was completely destroyed in a suspicious fire overnight.

Emergency crews rushed to the house on Government Road in Labrador just before 7.00pm after neighbours reported seeing thick black smoke billowing from the property.

Authorities were forced to evacuate nearby homes and shut down parts of the street over fears the blaze may spread to surrounding areas.
