AN undersea 6.5 magnitude earthquake off New Zealand has reportedly been widely felt around the North Island.
The quake struck about 150km off the coast about 10.37am (NZDT) on Monday.
Some experts claim the severe tremor was about 31km underground and although there is a tsunami warning, they claim it is highly unlikely.
