No Pants Subway Ride takes place around the world

Subway riders in New York City and all around the world got more than they bargained for when their fellow commuters stripped down to their underwear for an annual event.

Sunday marked the annual No Pants Subway Ride which is celebrated in dozens of cities across the world.

The event, which is organised by the Improv Everywhere comedy collective, started in 2002 in New York City with just seven participants.

Participants get on trains as they would normally and are given an assigned time to take off their points and maintain a straight face.
