NRL integrity unit to investigate after wild Mad Monday

The NRL will investigate what occurred on the Canterbury Bulldog’s Mad Monday, after telling photos emerged.

Players from the club were photographed dancing naked, groping each other and throwing up on the side walk after their end of season celebrations.

They started their Mad Monday around 1PM at a Sydney pub.

Canterbury has released a statement which said “the club accepts that they were unacceptable and a poor reflection on the individuals involved”.

“The players are aware of their responsibilities and the standards required when representing the club and yesterday’s behaviour was unacceptable and a bad look for the game,” the statement read.

“The club will now work with all relevant stakeholders to gather information and fully review what took place yesterday.

“The club is also working closely with the NRL in regard to determining the next steps in this review.”
