An off-duty police officer is accused of getting behind the wheel after having a few too many and driving too fast.
He was reportedly pulled over on the Hume Highway, just south of Goulburn, at around 11.15AM on Sunday, after clocking a speed of 138km/h in a 110km/h zone.
The driver, an off-duty male senior constable, allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test.
He was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station, where he underwent a breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.102 which is a mid range offence.
The man’s driver’s licence has been suspended and he is due to appear in Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday 9 August.
