NSW man charged after allegedly forcing teenage girl into bath of bleach

NSW Police have charged a man after he allegedly held a teenage girl against her will and forced her into a bath filled with bleach.

The 40-year-old man allegedly detained the 18-year-old at a home in Carramar, in Sydney’s south west, around 2am on Thursday morning.

Police claimed he then forced the teen to have a bath, which contained bleach and other chemicals in the water. She was left suffering with skin irritation as a result.

It wasn’t until 12.30pm that the 18-year-old was able to escape the home and call for help.

Officers responded and arrested the man after he drove into a parked vehicle on Waterside Crescent while trying to get away.

He has since been charged with take/detain person to obtain advantage, malicious damage, intimidation and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail and is due to appear at Fairfield Local Court today.

Police have confirmed the pair are known to each other.

A crime scene was established at the home and police have commenced an investigation.
