Officers injured as police car rammed, driver on the run

Two police officers have been injured, after their car was rammed a number of times during an incident north of Brisbane.

At about 7.15pm on Friday, the officers spotted a white Subaru wagon being driven suspiciously at Deception Bay.

They parked their vehicle behind the wagon, at an address in Bailey Road, when the Subaru reversed at speed into the police car.

The officers leapt from their vehicle, before the Subaru reversed another three times, causing extensive damage.

The quick-thinking officers deployed road spikes, puncturing all four tyres of the Subaru as it left the scene.

It came to a stop at the intersection of Cork Street and Flinders Parade, with the occupants making a run for it.

They are yet to be found.

The two officers received minor injuries.
