Over-turned Semi causes serious delays on M-1

A SEMI trailer is causing headaches for motorists heading away for the Gold Coast Show long weekend.

The large vehicle reportedly overturned on the M-1 north in Chinderah at Clothiers Creek Road.

Both northbound lanes have been closed and only one southbound lane remains open.

Photo: Earlier we heard there are about 600 trucks stuck heading north on the M1 (Clothiers Creek) at Tweed after a Semi rolled covering both north bound lanes - the reports are confirmed in this photo! </p><br /><br />
<p>If you know anyone planning a trip north from NSW tell them to avoid the area, it's mayhem!

Officials are urging motorists to avoid the area if they can while the RTA works to fix the situation.

Best to travel along Tweed Coast Road if you can.

According to reports, the driver has survived without injuries.
