Oxenford raid uncovers stash of drugs and weapons

A MAN has been charged with a string of drugs and weapons offences after a raid on an Oxenford home.

Rapid Action Patrol executed a search warrant at the property on Xavier Place around 9am on Thursday.

During the search, officers allegedly located methyl-amphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, steroids, restricted pharmaceuticals, pipe, scales, vacuum sealer, tick sheets, ammunition, an electronic conductive device and knuckle-dusters.

Following investigations, a 36-year-old Oxenford man was charged with six counts of possessing dangerous drugs, two counts of possessing a weapon and one count each of possessing drug utensils, possessing property used in the commission of a drug offence and possessing explosives (ammunition).

He is due to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on August 23.
