Pair charged after stand-off with Police in Sydney’s south-west

Two people have been charged following a stand-off with Police in Sydney’s south-west.

Police were called to a home on Sylvanus St at Greenacre at around 2.45pm on Friday following reports of gun shots.

A perimeter was established at the location with riot Police also in attendance.

At around 8.30pm a 37-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman were arrested inside the home.

They were taken to Auburn Police Station for questioning.

Officers seized a number of items from the home including a motor vehicle, two motorcycles which Police believe may have been stolen, mobile phones and credit cards.

The items will now be forensically examined.

Both the man and woman were issued with court attendance notices for unrelated charges of intimidation and drug supply.

The pair was released pending further investigations into the stand-off.
