WATCH: Pair treated for hypothermia after boat overturns off Gold Coast

A man and woman have been treated for hypothermia after their boat overturned off the Gold Coast.

Police were called just after 7.00pm on Thursday after an Emergency Beacon was activated at Jumpinpin Pocket.

The PolAir chopper was called out, where they spotted the 43-year-old woman and 42-year-old man clinging to the vessel.

Gold Coast water police then rushed to the scene and safely rescued the pair.

Dramatic vision captured by the PolAir helicopter shows the couple lying on top of the overturned boat as they wave their arms desperately calling for help.

WATCH:

The man and woman were taken to the Runaway Bay Marina before being transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, including hypothermia.
