CLIVE Palmer has responded to Palmer United Senator Jacqui Lambie’s controversial comments about Defence force pay.
Senator Lambie spoke on Channel 9’s Morning Show this morning, saying she plans to block any Government legislation in the Senate.
It’s in response to the Government’s plans to increase defence personnel’s pay by 1.5% over the next three years.

Lambie claims it does not meet the rise of the cost of living and has urged fellow cross-benchers to join her in blocking all government legislation, unless defence staff receive a better pay deal.
Clive Palmer seemed to want to continue distancing himself from the drama, releasing a respone this morning.
“My position has remained consistent in relation to opposing the government’s stance on reducing pay entitlements to the Australian Defence Forces,” Mr Palmer said in a statement.
“Consistently, I will oppose any reductions in pay to people who serve our country. In relation to Senator Lambie and her comments, she is very passionate about this issue as she did wear a uniform and served this country for more than 10 years.”
“The beauty of democracy is that people are allowed to have their own positions on matters such as these,” he added.
“Though I want to make it clear that I will not make a political stance or statement on Remembrance Day or ANZAC Day to dispute pay rates, I believe there is a political process when it comes to matters such as these and I will be respecting that process.”
