A MAN is being assessed by paramedics following a near-drowning at Main Beach this morning.
Emergency crews were called to a location off Main Beach Parade about 9.45am, following reports a swimmer had come into trouble.
It’s understood lifeguards pulled the man from the water after he swallowed a significant amount of water.

He’s currently being supplied with oxygen by lifeguards on scene, however is understood to be stable.
Paramedics are also assessing the patient.
