Passenger thrown from car in nasty crash

FOUR people have been injured, one of them critically, in a shocking crash in Townsville early this morning.

Police said a Holden Commodore lost control and smashed into a concrete lane divider on Saunders Street in Railway Estate about 3am.

A male passenger was ejected from the vehicle on impact. He sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Townsville Hospital in a critical condition.


The driver of the Commodore and two other passengers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
