Pedestrian hit by train in Brisbane

A PEDESTRIAN has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a train at a station in Brisbane’s west.

Trains on the Ipswich and Springfield lines were suspended as emergency services responded to the incident at Graceville train station just after 12.30pm.

The Queensland Ambulance Service said paramedics treated a patient with a “significant leg injury”.


They have since been rushed by ambulance to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

The patient’s gender and age were not immediately known.

Buses had been arranged to replace trains but TransLink has advised services have since resumed.
