SURFERS Paradise may have to change its name to Kids’ Paradise tomorrow, when Kids Week gets underway.
Kids Week is on from the 20 – 26 September, and will feature an array of non-stop free fun, games and live entertainment for the whole family.
There will be a number of live performances, including Peppa Pig this weekend, as well as tightrope and aerial circus sessions, balloon twisting, fun beach volleyball games, cupcake decorating, a special fireworks display and much more.

Surfers Paradise Alliance will also launch two new initiatives during Kids Week – a permanent Kids Club for children aged 3 – 12 years old and a Kids Concierge.
Surfers Paradise Alliance CEO Mike Winlaw said the initiatives are designed to help families enjoy their time in Surfers Paradise.
“Families can sign up for our permanent Kids Club and be kept up to date with all the family friendly events and activities, as well as receive great offers and special deals.
“And during Kids Week 2014, families will be able to visit the Kids Concierge to sign up for Kids Club and stock up on any items they have forgotten like sunscreen, band aids, hats, bottled water and colouring-in books.
“The Kids Concierge service will also give families visiting Surfers Paradise access to maps of the precinct, parking tips, a stroller minding bay, change-room locations and get recommendations on the best places to eat, drink and play with kids in the precinct.”
Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate praised the initiatives to help look after visiting families in the heart of the Gold Coast.
“The Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise especially has something for everyone and we want to make sure everyone knows Surfers Paradise is welcoming families with open arms.”
Kids Week kicks off on Saturday 20 September and runs until Friday 26 September and is presented by Zagame’s Paradise Resort and Escape Travel.
