P!nk gets superstar support for return to concert stage

Aussie superstar Hugh Jackman and US singer Katy Perry have joined P!nk backstage ahead of her concert comeback in Sydney.

The So What? singer had to postpone four show during the past week after being admitted to hospital on Monday night “in excruciating pain”.

The mother of two was treated for dehydration and a stomach virus, but assured Saturday night’s audience she was “not contagious”.


Jackman took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with P!nk prior to the show, calling her return to the stage “inspiring”.

“The amazing pink One of the best concerts I have ever seen! And, she’s been sick all week. Inspiring.” 

The What About Us? singer shared the photo, describing Jackman as a “rare unicorn”.

“Some people, if you can believe it, are even better in real life. This guy is one of those rare unicorns.”

In a show of girl power, she also posted a photo of Teenage Dream singer Perry playing with her daughter, Willow.

“Thank you @katyperry for coming to the show and for pretending to be a lizard with my girl:) we love you darlin’.”
