Body of missing Gold Coast man found

UPDATE @ February 7: Police have confirmed they’ve found the body of a man reported missing from Ormeau earlier this week.

Officers launched an urgent appeal for the man after he failed to return home on February 4.

In a statement, police said that “sadly the body of a man believed to be the missing 29-year-old  has been located”.

They will prepare a report for the coroner.

EARLIER @ February 5: Police are calling for urgent help from the public to locate a man missing from Ormeau since yesterday morning.

The 29-year-old was last seen at an address on Rockwood Drive around 7.00am.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his safety, after he failed to return home or contact his family.

His family say it’s out of character.

The man is described as having an olive complexion, with short black hair, brown eyes, a proportionate build and is around 170 centimetres tall.

Anyone who may have seen him or has any information in relation to his current whereabouts is asked to immediately contact police.
