A brief chase ensued after the speeding sedan – first thought to be stolen – failed to pull over for police.

It’s believed the driver led police down Chichester Drive, and into Pearson Close – a dead-end street – where the pursuit ended.

Bianca Stone from Seven News reports that the man was driving his mother’s car and allegedly spun out-of-control before ‘side-swiping’ a police car.

The police helicopter was also tasked to keep watch from the sky.

A police spokesperson said a total of four people had been taken into police custody and were assisting them with their enquiries.
