Police hunt for Sydney driver who crashed into light pole and fled

Police are searching for a Sydney driver who crashed into a light pole in the city’s north early this morning and then fled the scene.

Around 2:45am, a blue Lexus crashed into a light pole on the Pacific Highway, near Anglo Road, in Greenwich.

When police arrived on the scene they found the car unoccupied next to the light pole, which had toppled over in the collision.

It is believed the driver fled the crash.

North Shore Police Area Command officers are now investigating the whereabouts of the driver.
