Police hunt man accused of sexually assaulting intellectually disabled girl in brazen daylight attack

POLICE are hunting a man wanted over a brazen daylight sex attack in Melbourne’s southeast.

The man is accused of sexually assaulting an intellectually disabled 15-year-old girl as she walked along Chesterville Road in Cheltenham shortly after midday on Sunday, June 24.

The man had a short conversation with the victim before sexually assaulting her, police said.


He was captured on security camera, walking alongside the young girl before the alleged assault.

Investigators today released a computer generated image of the man, who remains at large.

He is described as being Caucasian, unshaven and aged between 30-40 with short brown hair.
