Police hunt masked men after axe hold-ups in Logan

POLICE are searching for two men who held-up two hotels in Logan within minutes of each other early this morning.

The men are accused of storming a licensed premises on Chatswood Road at Springwood with an axe about 3.25am.

But the due was confronted by an employee and security guard and fled the scene empty handed.


Minutes later, the pair allegedly stormed a second hotel on Bryants Road in Loganholme.

It’s alleged the masked duo confronted staff and patrons before running off with a stash of cash.

They are believed to have been driving an orange coloured Holden Commodore sedan.

Thankfully, no one was injured during either incident.

As investigations continue, detectives are urging anyone who was in the Springwood and Loganholme areas between 3am and 3.45am with dashcam footage or information to come forward.
