A MAN has had his car and wallet stolen during a violent burglary at a home in Southport this morning.
Police say the 59-year-old was woken by a knock on the door of his Eugaree Street property around 6.00am.
Upon opening the front door, he was allegedly confronted by two men – one of which was known to him – who asked to borrow the man’s phone.

The man agreed and unlocked the front door, only to be punched in the face and threatened with a firearm by the other two men.
Police say the pair then stole the resident’s wallet and car-keys, before one left the scene in the green Holden Commodore and the other left in the man’s vehicle.
The first man is described as Caucasian, around 185cm tall, with a slim build and short blonde hair.
The second man is described as Caucasian, around 190cm tall, with a proportionate build and short black hair.
