POLICE have raided two properties on the Gold Coast as part of further developments in relation to Operation Kilo Zurich – a major investigation into a criminal syndicate allegedly transporting cannabis from Victoria to Queensland through domestic airlines.
Officers from the Gold Coast Major and Organised Crime Squad have spent the past two days searching a Parkwood address and a Broadbeach apartment building which relate to one of the primary syndicate members allegedly continuing to commit burglary and property offences.
The search warrants have resulted in the alleged location of significant quantities of industrial tools, computer equipment, a motorcycle, bicycles, gold jewellery, $94,000 in cash and a guitar autographed by AC/DC.

A number of the items were allegedly secreted in the walls and a refrigerator of the Parkwood address.
A 30-year-old Parkwood man has been charged with break and enter and possession of tainted property offences. He is expected to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court next week.
A 39-year-old man, also from Parkwood, has been charged with break and enter and stealing offences and is expected to appear before the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
