Police search for witnesses of fatal Oxenford crash

POLICE are appealing to anyone in the public who may have witnessed a fatal crash that claimed the life of a woman on Tuesday night.

According to police, just before 6pm, a white Honda Accord sedan travelling east on Entertainment Drive and a black Toyota Hilux that was travelling north have collided at a controlled intersection.

The driver of the sedan, a 52-year-old woman, was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.

The driver of the ute, a 17-year-old man, was taken to the Gold Coast University hospital with minor injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit continue to investigate.

Police are interested to speak to anyone that may have been travelling along Entertainment drive around this time, or may have observed either of these vehicles before the time of the crash.
