‘Missing’ holiday-maker found safe and well

UPDATE @ August 19 2018 6am | A family is breathing a sigh of relief, after an elderly member, who had been reported missing, was found safe and well.

The 80-year-old was visiting the Gold Coast from Queensland’s central coast, but had not made contact with loved ones for two days.

Police have confirmed, he was found on Saturday night.

EALIER @ August 18 2018 5pm | POLICE are seeking help to find a man who has gone missing on the Gold Coast while holidaying from the state’s Central Coast.

The 80-year-old is believed to be staying on the Coast after travelling from Boyne Island, Gladstone, on Wednesday.

He has not been seen or heard from since and can not be contacted.

Police and family hold serious concerns for the 80-year-old as he suffers from multiple medical conditions and does not have access to medication.

Police said the elderly man often relies on a walking stick.
